its snowing outside. snowing madly and should continue to do so throughout the next day, leaving some 5-8 inches. night-time snow has to be one of the most peaceful, tranquil things i've witnessed. its so quiet when it snows it seems like the flakes absorb the surrounding sounds. listening to the snow is sometimes better than watching it snow.
the funny thing is that i'm deathly afraid of driving in the snow. i've been involved in too many snow/ice caused car accidents and fish-tailing episodes. i try to avoid driving in any sort of winter weather like the plague, and luckily the weather has been amazingly cooperative. randy told me today that he really wanted a heavy snow fall so that he could go sledding, but he doesn't have to worry about driving to work early in the morning with ice on the roads and teenagers going to school. hey, i've been a teenager driving in winter to school and i did my share of careless slipping and slidding so i know that most younger drivers suck at handling their cars when the white stuff comes down. its supposed to snow all day with winds up to 40mph tomorrow, and i'm just imaginning what my car will look like after work, with piles of snow drifts incasing it in a cocoon in the parking lot of jeff high school.
fun snowy goodness awaits all!
